Step 1: The Meeting
A telephone conference is usually best. We can schedule a meeting via tele-conference to discuss your needs in greater detail. A tele-conference saves time and money. However, we can schedule a face-to-face meeting if you prefer. Our experience has shown us that getting to know your business is a crucial step in our process. We want to know everything about you! During this step, we listen to every idea, question and comment you may have about what we can do for you.
Questions to think about:
What is the purpose of the site?
Do you want to provide information, promote a service, sell a product?
What are your goals for the site?
What do you hope to accomplish by building this web site? To share information, or maybe simply to make more money?
What would be your target audience?
Is there a specific group of people that will help you reach your goals? Consider their age, sex or interests – this will later help determine the best design style for your site.
Step 2: Start Planning
We take the information we have gathered and develop a plan for your site.
Some things to expect:
Content Sitemaps
One of the most crucial components of any site is its sitemap as it is essential to developing a consistent and easy-to-use navigation system.
Website Mockups
Once we get the sitemaps done, we’ll be giving you a mockup of how the site will be laid out. Where major sections of the site will be placed and idea of how the site will work.
Step 3: Being Creative
This is where the real fun starts! Using the information gathered up to this point, it is now time to determine the look and feel of your site.
Many factors play a roll in how your site will be designed. The most important being your target audience. A web site built to attract young teenagers is going to look different from one trying to attract businessmen.
Our designers will provide you with up to two mockups of how your site could look. They will keep you in tune every step of the way to ensure you have chances to express your likes and dislikes throughout this step.
Step 4: Website Development
If design is where the fun happens, development is where the magic happens. Our highly experienced developers will take the approved design mockup and turn it into the reality of a website.
Using practices that are considered the web standards of today, your site will be optimized for all search engines and will hold its own as the web continues to grow.
If you are interested in being able to handle the upkeep and maintenance of the site on your own, we are happy to oblige. We can set up a customized content management system tailored to your needs, allowing you to take on website maintenance yourself.
Step 5: Launch & Takeoff
As your site is being developed, we constantly test the product on multiple web browsers to ensure that your site will look good and act fluidly on any browser. After the development is complete, its time to launch the website!
If you opted for a content management system, we will provide training for you to be able to run it with ease. If you have decided to keep us on and maintain your site for you, check out step 6 to see what you get with that!
Step 6: Maintenance
If you have chosen to keep us on the payroll and have us maintain your site for a minimal monthly fee, we will take care of it like its our own.
