The following case studies show how we have helped other companies with their website redesign needs.
STERLING CHEMICALS WEBSITE
THE CLIENT
Sterling Chemicals, Inc. located at 333 Clay Street, Suite 3600, Houston, Texas 77002.
SERVICES PROVIDED
Sterling provided a wire-frame of exactly how they wanted their website to flow in terms of navigation and page composition. We in turn, created a custom design which took into consideration their preferred color scheme and logo design. We also endeavored to give the website a clean, user-friendly, corporate look. The web pages were optimized for organic search engine placement and the powerful MODx content management system was installed.
THE CHALLENGE
Sterling Chemicals, Inc. is a North American producer of selected petrochemicals. They are headquartered in Houston, Texas, and manufacture all of their petrochemicals at the Texas City, Texas, facility.
Their website was in dire need of a re-design to improve their overall image as well as provide updated information in real time to their current customers and prospects.
Their most urgent need was real time stock quotes and the ability to add updated information to the website on an ongoing basis.
THE RESULTS
We worked closely with Sterling’s Vice President and staff to create an informational website with a corporate look and feel, easy to use and full of fresh, updated content for clients and prospects. The website navigational structure is more streamlined and content is now easier to find. The links from the home page to the various sections of the website are search engine friendly, providing even better organic search engine results. The redesign also allowed an expansion of website content.
The new site describes services and operations in greater detail and the content management program is included to enable the staff to make changes to the existing pages or add additional pages to the website in real time on an on-going basis without the cost and time associated with contacting a web designer.

AMANI ENGINEERING WEBSITE
THE CLIENT
Amani Engineering is a civil engineering, surveying and construction management firm located at 8313 Southwest Freeway, Suite 350, Houston, Texas 77074.
THE CHALLENGE
AmaniEngineering’s old site didn’t reflect their brand or meet their changing needs as they reached out to new markets in the region. The design was generic, the code wasn’t search engine-friendly, and the site architecture was confusing. And when did they need the new site? Yesterday.
THE SOLUTION
Site architecture: The old navigation system “chunked” information into major and minor categories. We narrowed navigational choices on the home page to key categories, then offered visitors access to a wealth of information one click down. One photo is assigned to each page of information so visitors can easily tell when they’ve switched pages. We added a search engine as additional navigational aids.
Content: The redesign also allowed us to greatly expand site content. The new site describes products and services in greater detail to help visitors decide which product is best for them and how to contact the appropriate staff. A content management program was installed to enable the staff to make changes to the website in real time on an on-going basis without the cost and time associated with contacting a web designer.
The redesign brought a quick and overwhelmingly positive response. Search engine ranking is good and the site is much easier to use.

Implemented the client’s own custom design, optimizing the website for organic search engine results, eCommerce shopping cart with built in content management system, SSL certificate and merchant account integration
THE CHALLENGE
Brown Book Shop, founded in 1946, has been serving both professionals and avid readers for over 64 years. As this Houston, Texas icon contemplated improving their existing website to accommodate a more tech-savvy customer base, and incorporate backend functionalities which would save time and money, they needed an ecommerce shopping cart that would be easy for their customers to use and a back-end eCommerce administration system that would make maintenance, order fulfillment and reporting easy.
THE RESULTS
We worked with Brown Bookshop’s owner and staff to create an ecommerce website that was modern and usable, while also reflective of the hometown, family-run small store that the community has come to know and trust.
Since launch, traffic and online sales continue to grow, and Brown Bookshop’s staff is delighted with the ease of use and power of the new shopping cart software.
The website architecture is much more streamlined and content is now easier to find. Product categories have been narrowed and navigational choices are clear from the home page and throughout the entire website. The links to the products and all pages of the website is search engine friendly, providing even better organic search engine results.
The redesign also allowed an expansion of website content. The new site describes products and services in greater detail to help visitors decide which product is best for them and how to contact the appropriate staff. A content management program is included to enable the staff to make changes to the existing pages or add additional pages to the website in real time on an on-going basis without the cost and time associated with contacting a web designer.
